After looking at a flash based web game called Aurora I am inspired by the way the art style has been done, I really like the aesthetics of the game and overall feel.

the image above is Aurora, I really like the style that this artist has used to create a western landscape and feel inspired to try and incorporate this type of style in my game.

going from the sketchy feel with just shadows defining the colour to a fully digital painted piece really helps with creating a dark and eery atmosphere, i really like this style of art and the way the artist has used dark colours to help with the atmosphere.
