after having a meeting on the 17th November I decided not to show my draft as I didn't want to dive into something that might not be right, so instead I decided to put forth my ideas and the paragraphs that have been set out and see what the lecturers thought, after discussing the ideas they said that it was too big of an idea to write down in a 1000 words. Instead I got given the ideas for creating an essay based on an example of a novel that turned into a film that then turned into a game. From this I would then write about how it has successfully and not successfully been transferred into the game from the novel/film.
Unfortunately I haven't had the time to complete this essay due not having the time and personal problems. I have however done an essay that uses the original structure, it may not be the best essay ever and it may not provide the best information about storytelling but I have tried my very best to describe are video games a new form of storytelling. I am going to still do the essay about a specific novel that turned into a film and then a video game in my own time to improve on writing skills and styles as well as the fundamental basics of writing about games.
The hardest thing I found when writing this essay is the amount of words that I am limited to, I found it really hard to take out any of it to make it 1000 words.
For this essay I really wanted to research in the traditional ways of storytelling and discovered that the oldest forms are still used today, similarly some of these ways are still used within games but over time as technology has been advancing we have found new ways to interact with games and the narrative side of them.
