So to complete my essay I need to look at the different technology used within the iPhone and also look a brief history of mobile games. To do so I looked at various websites and used my own knowledge. The first website I looked at was one from Pocket Gamer [1]. The article takes about the history of mobile games and how it started right through to today. This helped a lot because it meant I could gain an insight on the different types of games that were produced years ago.
Next I needed to look at some of the different technology used within the iPhone so I took a look on How stuff works [2]. I found out about how the accelerometer works and how this works with the iPhone. This was very helpful in writing my essay since it allowed to create a very simple answer to what it is and how it is used with the iPhone. Again using How stuff works [3] I looked up how the gyroscope works and implemented an explanation into my essay. The last bit of technology that I looked at is multi-touch. For this I used a website that talks about this bit of technology [4]. I also used my own explanation for this since it's pretty such explanatory.
Other various websites I took a look at were ones for different games such as Angry Birds [6] and Infinity Blade [5]
Throughout the essay I used my own knowledge to write about the difference technology and influences. One of these influences was to do with Robot Riot and their recent visit to our uni and done a lecture on their company.
